Disneyland with Disabilities

disabilities

The Disneyland Resort is known as the Happiest Place on Earth, and cast members are committed to ensuring that all guests, including those with a wide range of disabilities such as mobility impairments, sensory sensitivities, or cognitive disabilities, have a magical experience. This guide will provide information on the services and facilities available for guests with disabilities visiting Disneyland.

Using Disneyland’s Disability Access Service (DAS)

The Disability Access Service (DAS) is a thoughtful service designed to enhance the experience of our guests with disabilities. It eliminates the need to wait in a standard queue, allowing you to schedule a return time comparable to the current queue wait for the attraction. We want you to feel accommodated and valued during your visit.

Know Before You Go: The Disneyland DAS Pass requirements are changing on June 18th, 2024. DAS passes will be valid for 120 days or the ticket length the guest holds (whichever is shorter). It’s important to note that falsifying a DAS Pass Request is a serious offense and can result in revocation and other disciplinary actions. Please know all the rules and consequences for falsifying a DAS Pass Request on Disney’s official website.

Mobility Made Easy

For your convenience and comfort, Wheelchairs and Scooters (ECV) are readily available for rent near or at Disneyland. Our aim is to ensure that your mobility needs are met, making your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

  • One Stop Mobility Inc.: This company offers free delivery and pickup to nearby hotels and the convention center, is open seven days a week/365 days a year, provides 24/7 local phone support, and does not charge for after-hours service. They are located directly across from Disneyland, and their ECVs come with large batteries for the longest-running time. You can find pricing and contact information on their website.
  • Select Scooter Rental offers free delivery and pickup of scooters, new batteries for a full day’s charge, no damage waivers or insurance fees, and is located directly across from Disneyland. Call (714) 644-8057 for availability and pricing.

Scooter Rental at Disneyland is limited to a first-come-first-served basis. Stations are located conveniently just outside the park entrance or at the Pixar Pals Parking Garage. The requirements are here.

Disney Attractions that Accommodate Disabilities

Once a pass has been received for a particular attraction, guests and their party should find an attending cast member for instructions. In most cases, they’ll be escorted or directed to the exit, where they can board the attraction. Be advised that some attractions require minimal transfer mobility from a wheelchair or ECV to board a ride vehicle. Other attractions do have specially designed vehicles to accommodate the wheelchair or ECV. Cast Members will give ample time to help individuals load and unload safely.

At Disneyland, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all our guests. That’s why we have attractions that allow guests to remain in their wheelchair or ECV, including the Disneyland Monorail, the Disneyland Railroad, and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. We also offer a wheelchair-accessible alternate experience for Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and Sleeping Beauty’s Castle Walkthrough. Other rides include the Jungle Cruise, King Arthur’s Carousel, the Mark Twain Riverboat, Enchanted Tiki Room, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, and Turtle Talk with Crush.

Some vehicles can accommodate wheelchairs and ECVs up to a specific size. These attractions include Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters; It’s A Small World, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Rise of the Resistance, Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, Mike & Sulley to the Rescue, Pixar Pal-A-Round, Toy Story Midway Mania, Web Slingers.

They are recommended for Guests with mild to moderate hearing loss. Guests can pick up the devices from Guest Relations, which requires a $25.00 refundable deposit. Please note that you must return the device on the same day for a refund. Assistive Listening is available on the Disneyland Monorail, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, Mickey’s PhilharMagic, the Jungle Cruise, Turtle Talk with Crush, the Enchanted Tiki Room, and Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure.
