If you need a break from the theme parks, stopping in the Downtown Disney District will give you just the right dose of Disney magic.
A quick way to get to Downtown Disney is by taking the Monorail from inside Disneyland or making the short walk just outside the main entrance of either Disney park. There are 21 restaurants, but here are our top 5 picks.

What Are the Top 5 Downtown Disney Restaurants?
5. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes
Definitely one of the most popular restaurants at Downtown Disney. It’s a great place to stop for a sandwich and cold drinks. They have a huge lunch and dinner menu and delicious Crazy Shake™ Milkshakes for everyone’s tastes.
Disneyland Today Recommendation: The absolute best shake is the Cookies ‘N Cream Supreme with a vanilla rim and Oreos.
4. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen®
If you’re craving a taste of New Orleans, this is the next best place to be on our list. You can enjoy tasty burgers, salads, and sandwiches for lunch and a bowl of their signature Jambalaya.
Disneyland Today Recommendation: Try the Jazz Kitchen Cheeseburger and order their homemade Beignets for dessert (5 per order).
3. Tortilla Jo’s
Tacos, and burritos, and enchiladas…oh my! There are huge menus for lunch and dinner, and if you’ve been craving a margarita, this is the place to go.
Disneyland Today Recommendation: Nachos with Shredded Beef – Nachos with beef, cheese, salsa, guacamole, and sour cream.
2. Naples Ristorante e Bar
You can find some of the best wood-fired pizzas at Naples. Not only do they have your traditional pizzas like Pepperoni and Cheese (or without cheese), they have specialty pizzas that include shrimp, ham, chicken, and salami. You can buy pizza in 10″ (individual), 20″ (Large), or 1/2 meter (Family). For those of you who love Italian food but aren’t craving pizza, there’s a selection of pasta dishes, soups, and salads.
1. Ballast Point® Brewing Co.
The food is delicious, and they have plenty of beverages (60 that we counted). If you go upstairs, you’ll find it gets considerably quieter, and you have a great view over the Downtown Disney District.
Disneyland Today Recommendation: BP Beer Battered Fish and Chips – Beer Battered fillets of Cod and golden brown french fries.
