It’s a Beautiful Magic Morning

Disneymornings

You’ve got your tickets and matching outfits, the batteries are charged, and it’s time to get to Disneyland for the rope-dropping ceremony. For those unfamiliar with “rope-dropping”, it’s the arrival at Disneyland before the park officially opens. Ropes are run across the entrances to each land, and only when the announcement resounds do cast members drop the ropes and allow guests to walk briskly to their first attraction (No running at Disneyland). An added benefit of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel was to utilize Magic Mornings.

Did you know? If you are among the first guests to ride the Storybook Land Canal Boats, your party will get to sign the logbook. The Mark Twain Riverboat also has a Captain’s log book and certificate for guests invited into the wheelhouse.

What are Magic Mornings?

Before the parks were closed due to the pandemic, Magic Mornings allowed guests staying at a Disneyland Resort property to enter Disneyland or California Adventure one hour before the public. Select attractions were open to these guests before the general public could enter. It was an excellent jumpstart to get on a few extra rides with no crowd and no lines.

When Disneyland and California Adventure reopened on April 30th, 2021, Magic Mornings were no longer available, and no one had any idea when Disney would bring this special perk back.

Magic Mornings are Returning!
