If you’re an early riser and you want to get a good workout in before your theme park journey, you might consider booking a DCA Boot Camp or Power Walk at the Grand Californian. As the sun is coming up, put on some good walking shoes and head to the California Adventure entrance at the Grand Californian to get some stretching and exercise in before you begin your day (no theme park admission required)
Where Do I Sign Up For These Exercise Sessions?
You can sign up for sessions on the Tenaya Stone Spa website here. Select View Activities and find either the Boot Camp in DCA or Power Walking Workout in DCA activities to see if there’s a class during your stay. You’ll find the course, time, cost, and the number of positions available on the website. They do sell out quickly, so it’s best to book your reservation as soon as possible.
What Sort of Workout Will I Get During the Exercise Sessions?
If you choose the 45 minute Boot Camp session in DCA, be prepared for pushups, squats, and sit-ups. In addition, you should be able to maintain a 12 minute per mile pace during a run or jog when running around the park. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
If you participate in the 45 minute Power Walking Workout, you’ll start the morning with stretches and an energetic walk around the park. Guests should be able to keep a 15-18 minute per mile pace for up to two miles.
Know Before You Go: Park restaurants, food kiosks, and attractions will not be open during this time. The expectations should be to remain focused on the workout with the instructor.
What is the Cost for Participating?
A 45-minute session costs $25 per person. If you have any questions regarding rules, arrival time, or requirements, we highly recommend reaching out to the Tenaya Stone Spa at (714) 956-6425.
